The highly anticipated return of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place on 15 October, marking a dazzling comeback after a six-year hiatus. Since its last show in 2018, the world had been eagerly awaiting the revival of this iconic runway event, and it did not disappoint.
For years, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been a spectacle of glamour and fantasy, renowned for its extravagant costumes, intricate lingerie designs, and dramatic feathered wings that embody the ultimate runway show experience.
Its annual event was more than just a fashion showcase – it was a global cultural moment. Fans and fashion lovers alike tuned in to watch the biggest names in modelling take the stage, transformed into ethereal angels, while musical acts added an extra layer of entertainment.
A mix of icons and fresh faces
This year’s show featured a blend of familiar faces and fresh talent, making it a celebration of both the old and the new. Fan-favourite Angels like Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, and Doutzen Kroes returned to the runway, reminding everyone why they had become legends of the brand.
Meanwhile, rising stars like Vittoria Ceretti, plus-size model Paloma Elsesser, and the unstoppable Ashley Graham brought diversity and representation to the stage, reflecting a more inclusive era for the brand.
Supermodel legends return
The return of classic supermodels added an extra layer of excitement. Fashion legends such as Carla Bruni, Eva Herzigova, and even Tyra Banks graced the runway once again, evoking nostalgia for the golden years of modelling.
In a major surprise, supermodel Kate Moss made her long-awaited Victoria’s Secret debut, walking alongside her daughter, Lila Moss, in a heartwarming mother-daughter moment that had the audience in awe.
Hadid sisters shine
The Hadid sisters were given the prestigious roles of opening and closing the show. Gigi Hadid, with her effortless grace and confidence, opened the event, while her sister Bella Hadid, known for her fierce runway presence, closed it with a show-stopping finale.
Star-studded performances
As if the impressive lineup wasn’t enough, the music performances took the show to new heights. Opening the show was Lisa from BLACKPINK, bringing her global K-pop star power to the stage with an electric performance.
Tyla then kept the energy high, performing her hits “Push 2 Start” and “Water”, adding a fresh and modern sound to the evening. To top it all off, the legendary Cher took to the stage, delivering an unforgettable performance that had the audience cheering and singing along.
