Forget guest chefs or Six Hand pairings, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur’s Mandarin Grill is cooking up a whole new gastronomic experience for a one-night only degustation dinner on April 29. Five distinguished chefs from KL’s well-loved dining establishments will be collaborating with the restaurant’s own Chef de Cuisine Luigi Stinga to present an exclusive 7-course menu.
Cheekily named “Let’s Mess Up Luigi’s Kitchen,” the collaboration will showcase the distinctive cuisines and expertise of the six good friends and culinary maestros, taking guests on an epicurean journey from Asia to Europe – all in a single seating.
The participating chefs include Jun Wong of Kikubari (progressive Japanese); Chai Chun Boon of Copper (modern European); Tyson Gee of ATAS (modern Malaysian); Lroy Lim of Willow (modern cuisine); and Jeff Ramsey of Japas (Japanese-Spanish Izakaya).
Aside from the dinner experience, guest bartender Giovanni Andrea Magliaro of Frank’s Bar will be taking over MO Bar on the evening to whip up his signature cocktails.
Priced at RM588 per person, the experience will include pre-dinner drinks at MO Bar at 6pm before dinner commences at 7pm. After dinner, guests are also invited to join the six chefs for a nightcap and/or intimate chat at MO Bar. Drinks are on consumption basis.
As limited seats are available for the session, guests are advised to make reservations ahead of time to avoid disappointment. For reservations and enquiries, please call +60 (3) 2330 8798 or email mokul-fb@mohg.com.
