The model cum businesswoman has rented the superyacht, now dubbed Tranquility, for a reported US$1.25 million (approximately RM5.2 million) per week.
We can think of 101 ways for the world’s youngest self-made billionaire to celebrate her birthday, but Kylie Jenner has decided to throw a party on a superyacht. And it’s not just any superyacht – it’s Malaysian fugitive financier Jho Low’s former Equanimity.
According to TMZ, the model cum businesswoman has rented the superyacht, now dubbed Tranquility, for a reported US$1.25 million (approximately RM5.2 million) per week. It is set to sail with a 29-person crew this week, with her 22nd birthday falling on August 10.
“We’re told the party will hit ports somewhere in the Mediterranean, and we know big sisters Kendall and Kourtney are already over there,” TMZ reported.
While there’s no further details on what her birthday bash will entail, the Kylie Cosmetics founder has a master suite, three VIP state rooms, a Turkish bath, a beauty salon, a cinema, a gym, a swimming pool, an outdoor bar and a helipad at her expense aboard the 91.5m-long vessel.
How’s that for a billionaire’s birthday bash?
The superyacht was formerly seized by the Malaysian government as part of its probe into money laundering in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.
After a 26-month grounding, Genting Malaysia Bhd. purchased the yacht for US$126 million (approximately RM514 million) last April.
