This exclusive British Afternoon Tea marries the British heritage of Halcyon Days with the culinary know-how of the hotel’s award winning Head Pastry Chef, Fodil Baghal.
Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and Halcyon Days have teamed up to offer a British Afternoon Tea at the hotel’s classy Altitude lounge. This marks the first ever collaboration in the world for the emporium of antique gifts, renowned for being one of only 14 companies in the world to hold all three Royal warrants to the British Royal Household.
Marrying the British heritage of Halcyon Days with the culinary know-how of the hotel’s award-winning Head Pastry Chef, Fodil Baghal, the exclusive afternoon tea promises a quintessentially British Afternoon Affair to remember – topped with bird’s eye views from 53 floors up the hotel.
Starting off the Afternoon Tea are a selection of sandwiches featuring flavours typically relished by British countrymen, namely Cucumber & Dill, Turkey Ham & English Mustard, Egg Truffle Mayonnaise, Coronation Chicken and Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese & Chive.
After these savoury delights come an assortment of treats for the sweet tooth, among which include Classic & Raisin Scones served with Authentic Clotted Cream and house-made Strawberry Jam; Lemon Meringue Tart, the legendary Battenburg cake, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Apple Crumble.
The British Afternoon Tea wouldn’t be complete without the range of gourmet coffee by illy Caffè and fine teas by Harney & Sons to drink as the English do. In between sips and bites, you can also peruse the collection of expertly crafted enamelware and fine bone china created by craftsmen in England that are on display at the establishment.
Available from 15th July to 31st August 2020 between 3pm to 5pm, the British Afternoon Tea is priced at RM148 nett per person, inclusive of a Halcyon Days gift card worth MYR100 to spend at the brand’s boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
