Every purchase can help present and future breast cancer patients and survivors – if even in the littlest way.
Too busy on the weekends to join in fun ways to support breast cancer awareness this month? Doing your part for Pink October may be easier than you think.
Top beauty brands like Estee Lauder have long introduced their own breast cancer campaigns, featuring limited edition (and typically pink) products. Proceeds collected from the sales are subsequently channelled to various breast cancer foundations and support groups.
This means every purchase can help present and future breast cancer patients and survivors – even if in the littlest way. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy some self-pampering with your purchases. Surely, it can’t get easier or more attractive an idea than that?
Here are five pink products available this month for you to lend a hand.
Aveda Hand Relief™ Moisturizing Creme with Calming Shampure™ Aroma
The product: Made with hydrating plant extracts, vitamins and exfoliating fruit acids to soothe and smooth dry hands, this moisturising hand cream comes in a cute pink tube with the iconic pink ribbon symbol. It features the brand’s signature Shampure™ aroma with 25 pure flower and plant essences including certified organic lavender, petitgrain and ylang ylang. Available in all Aveda Experience Centres.
The cause: For every purchase of the limited-edition pink hand cream this month, Aveda will donate $5 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF). Its goal is to raise $325,000 globally with the focus of understanding environmental and lifestyle factors that possibly affect the risk of breast cancer. As the brand is cruelty-free, its donations will not support research involving animals.
