Another month, another set of beauty products to add to our wishlist and potentially our shopping cart.
With summer coming to an end this month, we can look forward to new Autumn/Fall 2020 beauty launches ahead. This likely means more muted colours for makeup as well as moisturising skincare formulas to keep our skin moist and hydrated during the drier seasons.
So far, we’ve caught a whiff of an array of fragrances (pun intended), alongside face makeup and skincare products with active ingredients (think vitamin C and retinol alternatives). Catch these launches and update your vanity ahead of the rest in our wishlist roundup of the month below.
Chloe Rose Tangerine EDT
Meet the new signature Chloe EDT, reimagined with fresh boldness and an unexpected fruity twist. The Chloe Rose Tangerine blooms with the radiant notes of tangerine and blackcurrant with verdant undertones that reinforce its exuberant character. It then settles into a base of cedar and white amber that adds an air of femininity and freedom. Modern and elegant, the scent is housed in an iconic fluted glass bottle evoking the sunray pleats quintessential to Chloé, topped with an oval cap, hand-plated silver metal plaque and new orange-pink grosgrain ribbon to reflect its notes. L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Collection
Skincare enthusiasts may be familiar with the benefits of retinol (vitamin A), now meet its 100% natural alternative: the Immortelle Super Extract. Developed by L’Occitane after 6 years of research on the reisilient Immortelle flower that doesn’t wither even after picking, the extract is said to have similar skin cell renewal and anti-aging properties as retinol but is gentler and less sensitising to the skin. Setting powder is one of those makeup items most of us tend to skimp over; but Laura Mercier has a solid reputation in this area with its Translucent Loose Setting Powder. Now launching in a new Honey shade for medium skin tones, the powder helps to blur imperfections and mattify makeup while making it last longer. Clé de Peau Beauté Volumizing Cream Supreme
Joining Clé de Peau Beauté’s age-defying line, The Supreme Series, the new Volumizing Cream Supreme is the brand’s latest product to combat signs of aging. Expressing the fusion of the earth and sky elements, this fresh, crystalline Eau de Parfum embodies a lively character with vibrant notes of Calabrian bergamot, mandarin and Sicilian orange. Balancing its citrus aromas are hints of Tunisian neroli and a trio of peppers at the heart, alongside Guatemalan cardamom and Indonesian nutmeg. Aesop Sublime Replenishing Night Masque
Launching as Aesop’s first overnight mask, the Sublime Replenishing Night Masque is the latest addition to the brand’s Skin Care+ range. The lightweight gel-cream mask is formulated with vitamins B, C, E and F as well as humectant ingredients such as Sodium Carrageenan and Saccharide Isomerate Ideal that work together to enhance the skin barrier and improve moisture retention. Ideal for those looking for intense hydrating and skin-balancing treatment, it’s made for all skin types, especially for normal to dry and dehydrated skin. Jo Malone London Lost in Wonder collection
Inspired by the ancient Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Jo Malone London has developed the Lost in Wonder collection that pairs fig with lotus flower and cypress with grapevine. The former combination results in a light floral scent with a vibrant burst of plump, juicy fig, whilst the latter produces an evergreen fragrance enhanced with the woody notes of trailing grapevines and grounded with depths of amber. Both fragrances launch as colognes, with the Cypress & Grapevine scent arriving also in a shower gel formula. Available from September 2020 in Jo Malone London stores.
Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum
Kiehl’s is no newcomer in the field of vitamin C skincare and its latest launch further cements its expertise with a more potent, efficacious formula to address under-eye concerns. This new eye serum contains a powerhouse of potent ingredients such as Tri-Pep-tide Complex, Hyaluronic Acid and 10% pure Vitamin C that has been clinically tested to reduce fine lines, crow’s feet, puffiness and diminish the appearance of both blue and brown dark circles.
