The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards might be over, but we know we’re not the only ones who aren’t over it. After all, there’s nothing like a celebration of art, artistes and entertainment to light up the room after the dark clouds of a global pandemic.
This year’s virtual ceremony saw a number of historical moments too, from Chloé Zhao taking home the Best Director’s Award for Nomadland to become the first female person of colour to receive the honour, to Chadwick Boseman’s posthumous win, which saw his wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, delivering a tear-jerking speech on his behalf.
Despite taking place virtually, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler speaking through split screens from opposite ends of America (one was in Los Angeles, the other in New York), celebrities didn’t skimp on the opportunity to dress up to the nines for the occasion.
