She was a Spice Girl, before making her mark in the fashion industry as a designer. Now, Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) is turning her attention to designing luxury timepieces. Unveiled with a stunning campaign by Italian fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, Beckham has joined forces with Swiss watchmaker Breitling on a new limited-edition collection of Chronomat timepieces inspired partly by the designer’s own spring 2024 collection.
The Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham is presented as a stylish, all-purpose timepiece, and is a particular favourite among women who want the best of both fashion and function. Limited to 1,500 pieces, the collection retains classic Chronomat features like the metal rouleaux bracelet and raised rider tabs at the 15-minute mark, but now come in new colourways like peppermint, midnight blue, dove gray and sand.
The watches are housed in 36mm cases in stainless steel or yellow gold – the latter material specially revived by Breitling for use on this line. The limitation is also referenced on the dial: the steel pieces are each an edition of 400, while the gold watches number just 100 pieces each. Look closely enough, and you’ll find Beckham’s “VB” initials on the bracelet.
Powered by Breitling’s automatic Calibre 10 movement, the Chronomat has a running time of approximately 42 hours off the wrist. On the wrist, it keeps going as long as you do, thanks to the self-winding automatic three-hand movement with date feature. Additionally, the watches come in a specially designed co-branded box, with an additional co-branded travel pouch for the gold models.
