The local dining scene is about to get a lot more exciting, thanks to Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown. For two weekends this March, Quan’s Kitchen will be presenting its Four Hands Supper Club chef collaboration series with two local restaurants that you may already know and love.
This limited-time collaborative dinners will see Executive Chef Gerald Chong of Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown hosting the culinary creatives behind Jing Ze Contemporary Asian Restaurant and Li. Split between two weekends, Chef Gerald will team up with one chef to demonstrate their collective expertise in incorporating Western techniques to Asian flavours and produce, to create a menu that pays tribute to the familiar flavours of Malaysia with a unique flair.
The Four Hands Supper Club will kick off on 11 and 12 March with Chef Kelvin Wong of Jing Ze, priced at RM170 nett. The five-course meal will start with three “snack” courses, followed by a Tamarind Glazed Duck as a main and ending with an Asam Boi Tart.
For the last weekend of the month on the 25 and 26 March, Chef Gerald will collaborate with Executive Chef Lim Heng Kit of LI and Provisions, with the menu priced at RM200 nett. It features dishes such as the Fish Umai, Smoked Morten Bay Bugs, Daging Bakar Percik, Ikan Bilis Chawanmushi, Sous Vide Mandarin Chicken, Duck with Heirloom Ulam Rice, and Sourdough Gulab Jamun with homemade Gula Melaka sauce.
“This is truly an exclusive event – an opportunity for myself and the guest chefs to really focus on creating an extraordinary culinary experience. The opportunity to cook along some of the giants of our community is an incredible honour,” shares Executive Chef Gerald Chong.
