As we bid farewell to January, we’re also bringing along some of our favourite new launches of the month. The Gucci Cushion de Beaute is released in yet another limited edition, this time in a shimmering geometric pattern, while Guerlain and KVD Beauty both went bold and daring with their vivid makeup launches. Skincare from Philosophy and Dr Jart+ was all about strengthening and moisturising the skin barrier, with gentle yet focused formulas blended into products that can be used daily. Here are some new beauty launches that we’ll be moving into the new month with. 

GUCCI Cushion de Beaute Limited Edition

This lightweight, non-sticky foundation with buildable coverage features sun protection encased in a festive limited-edition Gucci geometric print. Available in three hues, it’s recommended to apply the cushion formula starting from the centre of the face and blending it outwards. Layer on for a more opaque look, fit for gala dinner or dates, or blend it out more for sheer everyday coverage. Sephora

GUERLAIN The Red Orchid Collection

A pioneer in rouge lipsticks, Guerlain is releasing its new Red Orchid collection, highlighting a trio of red shades, a new Rouge G case and a limited-edition eyeshadow quad. The triad features hues of crimson in different finishes: velvet matte, satin and velvet metal finish, which can be housed in the new Rouge G case highlighting the vivid velvet-like petals of the Red Vanda orchid. Guerlain has also released a limited-edition OMBRES G  N°770 RED VANDA, an eyeshadow quad complete with burgundy red, copper red, soft pink and luminous gold. Guerlain

KVD BEAUTY Moongarden Eyeshadow Palette 

Launched just last week, the Moongarden Eyeshadow Palette features famed tattoo artist Miryam Lumpini’s artwork throughout its packaging. Inside, beauty enthusiasts can find 12 highly pigmented and creamy shades in various finishes. The palette also highlights a good mix of colours like olive, mustard, peach and more, in matte, satin and metallic, allowing a plethora of neutral and bold looks. KVD Beauty

CAUDALIE Premier Cru Collection

Comprising the brand’s TET enzyme, which reverses skin ageing, Caudalie is introducing a new 3-product Premier Cru collection. The Cream is a potent moisturiser that effectively combats eight signs of ageing including wrinkles, fine lines, firmness, elasticity, and more. Its inner capsule is detachable and fully recyclable, so you can refill it without throwing the entire jar out. The collection also features The Serum and The Eye Cream, where the latter features firming sugars to help depuff the eyes and can be fully recycled by removing the metal nozzle. PHILOSOPHY Purity Pore Minimizing Serum

With a blend of salicylic acid, lentil seed extract and lilac cell culture, this Philosophy serum aims to train your skin to repel oil and sebum build-up, which minimises your pores. Over time, the serum will smooth, tighten and refine your skin texture, decreasing blackheads that appear due to enlarged pores. Use one to two pumps of this serum in the morning and night, and gently pat it into the skin until absorbed. Sephora

DR.JART+ Ceramidin Cream

Those with dry and sensitive skin looking to moisturise without breaking out can try this Dr Jart+ Ceramidin cream. Its formula highlights five ceramides which help strengthen the skin barrier while its vitamin-derived panthenol and glycerin provide moisture and retain water in the skin. As the moisturiser comes in a thicker texture, apply a thin and even layer every morning and night. You can also opt to layer more if your skin is dehydrated. Sephora

RARE BEAUTY Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter

Made with pearl micro-shimmers and set in a semi-sheer base, one of Rare Beauty’s new beauty launches provides a subtle glow aimed at giving you a glass skin finish. It’s meant to act like a liquid highlighter in a compact edition, which doesn’t break down your foundation when applied. Swipe a minimal amount on the high points of your face, or use it to add a sheen to your eyeshadow look. A more intense look can also be achieved by spritzing some setting spray onto an eyeshadow brush before picking up the compact highlighter. Sephora

TARTE Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette Xl

In a generous 24-pan palette by Tarte, you will find entirely new shades with 11 mattes, 9 shimmers and 4 sheen finishes. From rosy shades to burgundy brown and berry plum hues, every pan features an Amazonian clay-infused formula. For a softer application that allows buildability, use a brush to gently swipe the product onto your eyelids.
