After landing a multi-year strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz last year, Tommy Hilfiger has teamed up with the German marque again for a Spring 2019 capsule collection.
The former deal sees the American fashion brand designing travel and team kits for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team, while the latter has resulted in functional sportswear capsule inspired by the four-time Formula One® World Champions for the modern Tommy man.
Combining the designer’s sporty heritage with the Formula One® team’s technical expertise, the Tommy Hilfiger X Mercedes-Benz collection comprises timeless designs with modern functionality – a marriage of the core values of both brands.
Embodying this seamless collaboration are the collection’s chinos, bomber jackets and jeans that incorporate climate control finishes with crease-resistant yarn in Hilfiger’s famed red, white and blue colour palette highlighted with hints of grey and black.
The designer’s signature stripe detail takes on a minimalist approach, reinterpreted on metal zipper pulls, small trim details and hood lining, whereas blue pop linings add a striking contrast to lightweight sweaters and hoodies. Technical outerwear further mark the collaboration with both brand logos emblazoned tastefully in plain sight.
