For the first half of the year, 2022 has seen a decent number of jaw-dropping sneaker releases. As the second half approaches, more and more brands, including Nike and Adidas, are releasing their newest sneakers as well as collaborative projects that have us getting out our wallets.

Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 High
Replicating the distinctive textile treatment on the Chuck 70 Hi and One Star, Stüssy and Converse team up for a fresh take on the black hemp Chucks from the 1990s. The Converse iconic become a true expression of Stüssy’s west coast DNA thanks to details like the embroidered star logo.
Air Jordan 4 “Infrared”
The sneaker that originally took flight in 1989 is brought back to centre stage by bursts of infrared light. For a striking appearance that’s simple to style, the electric neon, made famous by another Tinker Hatfield classic, matches nicely with various colours of grey throughout. Black accents enhance contrast and give attention to the bright Infrared design, while Air cushioning provides the all-star comfort you love. Its distinctive “wings” let you customise your laces.
Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “CACT.US CORP”
Custom nubuck and mesh-patterned overlays on the upper, a drawstring Gillie lacing system, and other design elements were inspired by the ACG Pocket Knife, a practical icon from the 1990s. While the lateral side of the sneaker clearly shows a reverse Swoosh, the medial side of the design keeps loyal to the original Air Max 1 roots. This Air Max 1 also has a rubberized Cactus Jack tongue branding and a special CACT.US CORP outsole.
Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Black”
The Air Force 1 Mid is a continuation of Virgil Abloh’s heritage. In honour of the AF-1’s 40th anniversary, he reimagined the iconic design from a future perspective. The woodgrain design on the lightweight, airy mesh adds a practical edge, and the spiky outsole clearly relates to the ISPA motto of “Improve. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt.” Virgil, as usual, provided freedom for others to express their own creativity; the design combines conventional laces with an additional set that loops over Flywire cables.

Maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather Legacy AZ
Maharishi, which was established in 1994, investigates the duality nature of the cosmos. To convey this notion, these Reebok Classic Leather Legacy AZ Shoes use several contrast materials. The top has a textured appearance thanks to the smooth nylon and supple suede. They are kept dry by a water-repellent coating.
Nike Air Jordan 1 High “Dark Marina Blue”
The traditional white underlays of the Air Jordan 1 receive a summertime splash of Dark Marina Blue. The colour-matched outsole adds attractiveness, while crafted AJ touches like the embroidered Wings emblem on the heel and an ultra-soft nylon liner (with the ideal shine) boost the look and feel. The “23” on the tongue and the embroidered Jumpman emblem give it a polished, off-court look that permeates every movement.
New Balance 550 x Joe Freshgoods ‘Conversations Amongst Us’
Conversations Amongst Us, which Joe Freshgoods creatively directed, reinvents the 550. This 550 design takes cues from the historical and cultural styles of communication and celebrates the conversations within the Black community while opening the landscape for new dialogue. This sneaker encourages colour by way of vintage yellowing with a worn-in and ragged appearance coupled with a to tell a tale. It has a canvas top, hairy suede collar, and ‘Conversations Amongst Us’ branding on the tongue and sockliner.
