Don’t miss Burberry’s new B series drop, available soon for 24 hours only

The mini Title bag will be available immediately following the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2019 runway show at 5.30pm GMT on 17^th February.

Riccardo Tisci is making big changes at Burberry. Ever since he was appointed the house’s chief creative officer last year, the Italian designer has tirelessly introduced new ideas for the British fashion house and the industry as a whole.

From revamping the brand’s logo to releasing social media hyped (for better or worse) ad campaigns, it’s no wonder his name – and the brand’s – often come up in fashion news.

Latest from the Central Saint Martin’s graduate is the mini Title bag, revealed as part of the brand’s B series product drops on the 17^th of every month. The black leather crossbody bag comes with a polished top bar and triple stud closure adding an edgy vibe to its overall sophisticated appeal.

The Title will be available immediately following the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2019 runway show at 5.30pm GMT on 17^th February exclusively through the brand’s Instagram, WeChat, LINE and Kakao platforms for 24 hours. It will be the first of a new collection of Title bags which launches this summer in a range of styles and colours.

Tisci first initiated the idea of limited-edition “drops” at the launch of his debut collection for the brand, Kingdom, which saw a mesh bomber jacket for sale on Instagram right after the show. Then came the launch of the B Series last October, featuring a series of T-shirts and sweatshirts with the (also new) Thomas Burberry monogram.

Does this drop system actually work though?

Well, according to Bloomberg reports of sell-outs of recent product drops in China, it would appear to be heading in the right direction. But the brand is still lagging behind other luxury labels, particularly in the handbag category – here’s where the sales of the Title bag will count. And so it seems this Sunday the 17th will be a big date to watch.
