Breakout star from Netflix’s hit series Squid Game, Ho Yeon Jung, has just been announced as Louis Vuitton’s new global Maison Ambassador.
The South Korean model and actress first graced the runway for Louis Vuitton for Spring-Summer 2017, and was also featured in the Pre-Fall 2017 ready-to-wear campaign.
Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, said of Ho Yeon’s new appointment: “I immediately fell in love with Ho Yeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago,”
Sharing the news on social media, the brand stated that Ho Yeon perfectly embodies the independent Louis Vuitton woman.

“It is an honor to start my acting career with Louis Vuitton, the brand I have modeled for. I look forward to all the moments with Louis Vuitton as a global ambassador” she shared.
While her role as Player 067 in Squid Game marked her acting debut, Ho Yeon had already carved out a name for herself in the modelling world, walking for numerous global fashion brands, and winning the ‘Asian Star Award’ at the 2019 Asian Model Awards.
Ho Yeon also joins South Korean pop culture sensation BTS, who were announced as global house ambassadors for the brand back in April.
