Shiseido was proud to unveil its first ever Malaysian boutique in Sunway Pyramid recently, an occasion it celebrated with the top fashion and beauty influencers in town. Among the familiar faces in the crowd were fashion designer Kittie Yiyi, Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 Jane Teoh and actress Lenna Lim.
True to its Japanese roots, the grand opening kicked off with a Taiko drum performance, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Elaine Too, Managing Director of Shiseido Malaysia; Nicholas Tan, Chairman of Shiseido Malaysia; Denise Chen, Brand General Manager of Shiseido; HC Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Malls & Theme Parks; and Kevin Tan, Chief Operating Officer of Sunway Malls.
Guests were then taken on a quick tour of the modern boutique, which features a striking red façade with a digital LED cube attracting attention from afar. The boutique is divided into several zones including a social, skincare and makeup bar to ensure an immersive, sensorial journey as guests try on various products. Hidden away in a corner of the store is a private facial cabin, where guests can book Shiseido’s facial treatments, including the signature Yukata Treatment.
At the makeup bar, guests received a complimentary lip makeover using their favourite shade from the new Shiseido ModernMatte Powder Lipstick Collection. To complete the momentous occasion, guests also enjoyed special activities such as Flower Reading and a DIY headband workshop by Sereni and Shentel.
