The global sports brand has pledged a total of US$200,000 to the U.N. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in conjunction with the launch of its Unity Collection.
Much like food, sports has the power of uniting people together during good and bad times. To celebrate the fact, PUMA has pledged to donate a total of US$200,000 to the U.N. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in conjunction with the launch of its Unity Collection.
The funds will directly benefit WHO to support the organisation’s global work to help countries prevent, detect, and respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Now more than ever, we recognise that sport plays a critical role as a unifying force in our world,” said Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand and Marketing for PUMA. “As a brand and with our athletes and ambassadors, we are one team, united in sport, together for good. During these unparalleled times, we need to be united – because we know that we are much stronger together than apart.”
Tying this initiative with the message of sport as a unifying force, the Unity Collection consists of a range of apparel, footwear and accessories featuring colours drawn from flags of various nations.
Simple black and white designs allow these pops of colour to stand out, while printed drawcords and gold metal hardware further accent the designs. For footwear, there’s the Future Rider, Ralph Sampson, RS-2K, RS-X³ and Cali Sport, now introduced in neutral base designs with hints of blue, red, yellow and green.
These shoes are designed to match the water repellent TFS Track Suit, featuring a center front zipper with multicolour woven tape and gold hardware on the TFS Track Top, as well as side and back pockets on the TFS Track Pants. Meanwhile, the TFS Graphic Tee is available in white and black, the latter of which features the words“AUF ALLEN FÜNF KONTINENTEN” or “ON ALL FIVE CONTINENTS” across the front, as well as coloured accents and the signature PUMA logo.
Accessories include the Originals PU Backpack TFS made from vegan leather and the TFS Cap, featuring a moisture wicking eyelet mesh sweatband inside and a multi-coloured adjuster with “AUF ALLEN FÜNF KONTINENTEN” across it.
The PUMA Unity Collection will be available in Malaysia from July 13th across PUMA stores and retail partner outlets nationwide, as well as on at PUMA.com.
