Women in black.
At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello embraced femininity in a more audacious manner than his peers at Versace and even Victoria Beckham with his second collection – by baring it all.
Choosing to pay tribute to the 80’s just like he did with his debut collection, his fall collection was all about electrifying glamour signature to that era. Satin dresses came with a drappy dramatic flair, yet still looked good enough to lounge in. Vaccarello played heavily with lace inserts married with tailored blazers and ruffled skirts. Embellished tailored suits were balanced out with structured dressed, with some completely embellished causing major head turns and others minimally clean.
Most notably, almost all the looks were complemented by leather patent knee high boots – ones we would like to bag. The palette was rather clean seeing mostly blacks, blues and a mutation of browns.
