Of shorts, stripes and suits made with sophisticated fabrics that breathe of the sun-kissed Italian and French Rivieras.
Now in his second season as Ferragamo’s men’s creative designer, Guillaume Meilland has curated a Spring-Summer Menswear collection that breathes the leisurely lifestyle of the sun-kissed Italian and French Rivieras.
Setting the mood is a breezy palette of earth-tones, ivory, gentle pinks and light blues that evoke the spirit of escapism, plus flashes of hazy blues and deep mahogany that ooze a timeless appeal.
Drawing inspiration from the coastal strip, the collection features soft terrycloth, corduroy and velour fabrics with light, easy and deconstructed silhouettes. Solid colours are accompanied by clean stripes or a myriad of subtle marine patterns, including corals and seahorses printed on Bermuda shorts, coats and jackets.
Moving from a casual disposition to more formal occasions, leather and suede jackets stripped of superfluous elements are paired with rubber-soled penny loafers, clean lace-ups or slip-on moccasins and structured bags made with a mix of canvas and leather in contrasting shades.
The overall result is a fresh, light-hearted elegance to usher the summer mood while keeping with the quintessentially Ferragamo heritage. See the collection below (swipe left for more).
