Widely known for her skilled portrayals in a diverse range of prestigious films, Australian actress Cate Blanchett now takes on her newest role as Louis Vuitton’s newest House Ambassador.
Alongside the announcement of Blanchett’s appointment, the fashion house revealed a series of portraits starring the Elizabeth actress for its latest High Jewellery collection, Spirit. Captured by photographer Sølve Sundsbø, the new house ambassador stuns in her first campaign, styled in angular, monochromatic looks and spellbinding jewellery.
The collection’s five themes of Liberty, Fantasy, Grace, Radiance and Destiny are expressed in the pared-back shots featuring Blanchett, and were chosen by Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Watches and Jewellery Francesca Amfitheatrof to emphasise the values entrenched within the Louis Vuitton story.
According to the Maison, Blanchett embodies the collection not only through her elegance, charm, and talent for storytelling, but also the strength, spirit, and timelessness that characterise Louis Vuitton women.
“I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to collaborate with Louis Vuitton – a truly iconic House with an enormous cultural reach.” shares Cate Blanchett. “To wear the magnificent pieces created by Francesca Amfitheatrof is a bedazzling pleasure, and Nicolas Ghesquiere, as ever, amazes and inspires me.”
