The luxury house has chosen to partner with Marchon Eyewear, Inc to develop, produce and distribute the new Longchamp Eyewear collection.
Think Longchamp and immediately its iconic foldable Le Pliage comes to mind, second perhaps only to its long-time face, the fashionable Alexa Chung.
The French leather goods brand that already has bags, ready-to-wear, shoes, luggage and accessories will now be adding eyewear to its line of products for the ultimate touch of Parisian chic.
The luxury house has chosen to partner with Marchon Eyewear, Inc, one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of eye and sunwear to develop, produce and distribute the new Longchamp Eyewear collection. Design-wise, however, it will continue to be seen to by Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp’s artistic director.
“As a Parisian luxury fashion house, we are pleased to offer our customers the opportunity to adopt Longchamp Eyewear,” says Jean Cassegraine, CEO of Longchamp.
Founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, grandfather of the current CEO, Longchamp is still owned and run by the Cassegrain family today. It epitomises French flair underlined by the signature contemporary and sometimes playful spirit of Longchamp through products sold in 300 exclusive boutiques worldwide.
