Kim Jones is starting a new journey at Fendi, while maintaining his post at Dior.
Fendi has announced that Kim Jones will join the fashion house as its artistic director of haute couture, fur collections, and ready-to-wear for women. He will be working alongside Silvia Venturini Fendi, who is the current artistic director of accessories and menswear.
Despite his new appointment, Jones will continue to lead the creative charge at Dior Men.
“Kim Jones is a great talent and since joining, he has continuously proven his ability to adapt to the codes and heritage of the LVMH houses while revisiting them with great modernity and audacity,” said Bernard Arnault, the chairman and chief executive of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE, in a statement. “At Fendi, I am convinced that his vision and passion will highly contribute to the success of the women’s collections.”
“I would like to profoundly thank Monsieur Arnault, Pietro Beccari, Serge Brunschwig and Silvia Venturini Fendi for this incredible opportunity,” said Jones. “Working across two such prestigious houses is a true honour as a designer and to be able to join the house of Fendi as well as continuing my work at Dior Men’s is a huge privilege.”
Jones will debut his first women’s collection for Fendi for Fall-Winter 2021-2022 during Milan Fashion Week in February.
