Here are our favourite campaign videos from the likes of Apple, Coach, Gucci and more to watch with your nearest and dearest this holiday.
The year-end holiday season is arguably one of the most emotional periods in a year. Whether it’s joy from receiving gifts from friends and family, nostalgia from reuniting with those you haven’t seen in ages or perhaps grief for not being able to spend the holidays with a loved one who has passed on, the season brings with it a meaningful time of reflection and reconstruction for the new year ahead.
Holiday campaigns are meant to capture these emotions in pictures and short films that make you want to laugh, cry or celebrate the festive spirit synonymous with the season.
Here are our favourite campaign videos from the likes of Apple, Coach, Gucci and more to watch with your nearest and dearest this holiday.
Coach – Wonder for All
Coach is throwing a party to bring #WonderForAll and everyone is invited. Come with smiles like Camila Morrone and Miles Heizer or come with sass like Bob the drag queen. But don’t forget to bring your better half like Spike and Tonya Lee, or another half…a dozen pizzas like Ben Sinclair. You can even bring along your pet owl like Fernanda Ly. Bring gifts too, even if Yara Shahidi says, “you shouldn’t have!” because we all know that the season is about gifting. And there’s no harm in dressing up in a shimmery, festive outfit while at it, as Kate Moss demonstrates.

Mercedes-Benz Winter Event 2019 – The Negotiation
Santa better be watching carefully this Christmas because some kids know how to get just what they want. Mercedes-Benz adds a cheeky twist to the classic story with little Timmy, who snaps an unflattering photo of Santa to leverage himself a gift of choice from Santa. And it’s not something Santa can pull out from his sack of presents…
John Lewis & Partners – Excitable Edgar
Here’s a family-friendly campaign from UK high-end department store John Lewis & Partners, in partnership with supermarket chain Waitrose & Partners, that even little ones can enjoy. It details the story of an excitable dragon named Edgar who nearly derails the village festivities with his fire-breathing abilities. But follow through his journey to find out how his friend, a young girl named Ava, helps him put his ability to good use and light up Christmas celebrations for the villagers.
Gucci – Gift Giving
If you think a White Christmas is overrated, you’re on the same page as Gucci. Conceptualised by creative director Alessandro Michelle with the art direction of Christopher Simmons, the brand’s ‘Gift Giving’ campaign video sets off on a cruise and settles in sunny shores to reflect the holiday mood. There, Santa arrives in a boat instead of a carriage and comes bearing Gucci gifts for everyone. The question is: where do we sign up?
Apple – The Surprise
This holiday, Apple wants to prove that technology doesn’t necessarily distract individuals from real-life communication as critics suggest. When integrated well, it can be used to connect siblings together, entertain children on a long flight, capture new memories at the annual Christmas family dinner and create heart-warming mementos, among many valuable advantages.

Visa – #WhereYouShopMatters
While big brands are often at top of mind for consumers during the holiday season, small businesses struggle to keep up. Visa aims to draw attention to these small but no less important players with an advert featuring 13 real shopkeepers – including a bookseller, greengrocer, antique dealer and café owner – to encourage consumers to support their local High Street businesses. Time to show our own Malaysian brands some love too!
Burberry – What is Love?
Yes, the festive season is often associated with virtues like unity, togetherness and love – but what is love? Burberry wants to challenge viewers to explore what that means with Riccardo Tisci’s first campaign video highlighting individuals with distinctive personalities. Shot by renowned photography duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, the campaign features a star-studded cast including brand ambassadors Zhou Dongyu and Yoo Ah-in, as well as Carla Bruni, Fran Summers and Marina Morena, to name a few.
