“The birth of #IAMHOMEGROWN aims to celebrate who we are, our contribution as Malaysians as well as to highlight those who have paved the way for us.”
Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week RTW 2017 may have wrapped up last Sunday, but FashionValet’s #IAMHOMEGROWN movement lives on in our hearts as Merdeka and Malaysia Day draws nearer.
To celebrate KLFW’s fifth anniversary, FashionValet and KLFW inaugurated the #IAMHOMEGROWN campaign as the anchor of this year’s event to instil pride and recognition of our honourable Malaysian talents.
“We are, first and foremost, Malaysians. In the spirit of Merdeka, the birth of #IAMHOMEGROWN aims to celebrate who we are, our contribution as Malaysians as well as to highlight those who have paved the way for us,” said Fadzarudin Anuar, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FashionValet.
The campaign brought together more than 60 Malaysian icons from various disciplines and backgrounds, including comedian Harith Iskander and his wife and manager, Dr. Jezamine Lim, photographer Bibo Aswan, entrepreneur Tengku Chanela Jamidah, as well as Datuk Chef Wan and restauranteur Madam Kwan.
In conjunction with the movement, FashionValet also launched their new FV BASICS collection, comprising a range of streetwear from T-shirts to jumpers/sweaters and leggings with the #IAMHOMEGROWN text boldly imprinted on each piece. Check out the collection below.
The collection is available at FashionValet’s physical store in Pavilion.
