From cute felines to creepy clowns, we have got you covered in time for the spookiest day of the year!
Halloween is one day on the calendar that makeup addicts look forward to every year for one simple reason: the sheer excitement of going wild with makeup.
Sure, professional makeup artists probably come up with bizarre looks every other day; but for the average makeup geek, this is the time to get away with the bolder shades in your makeup collection or a fun look you’ve been wanting to try but didn’t have the guts to. And on the bright side, if you don’t quite end up with the look you’re going for , anything works on Halloween, right?
With that said, we have rounded up a few Halloween makeup looks that are easy enough to recreate at home. From cute felines to creepy clowns, we have got you covered in time for the spookiest day of the year!
Feline creatures
A few strokes of whiskers and a black nose with a black eyeliner and you’re good to go. It arguably doesn’t get easier than this. Optional: a pair of cat-eye false eyelashes and a kitty headband should complete the look perfectly.
Pennywise
We foresee this look being a favourite this Halloween, since It Chapter Two recently debuted in cinemas. Good thing it’s fairly simple to do with black eyeliner, red lipstick and white face paint (or you can swap this for foundation). For a more glammed up Pennywise, swap the red pigments with pink or glittery eyeshadows.
Joker (2019 edition)
Another likely popular look this 31st, Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker makeup is actually not as hard as it seems. (It only took about 15 to 20 minutes to get Joaquin’s makeup done on set.) All you’ll need is red, cyan, black and white pigments to do it yourself. A green wig will earn you bonus points, though.
Harley Quinn
Planning to celebrate the ghostly occasion with a friend or better half? Name a duo more iconic than Joker and Harley Quinn. Hers is equally as simple to create using red, white and blue pigments or eyeshadows as well as black eyeliner and red lipstick.

✨ Ainda não superei essa maquiagem ❤️ . . #halloween #halloweenmakeup #maquiagemx
If you’re going for cute over creepy, this Bambi-inspired makeup look should do the trick. You’ll need foundation, concealer and a contour palette to outline the deer features on your face and black eyeliner to draw the eyes and nose. For the finishing touches, use white eyeliner or pigment to add adorable speckles all over the cheeks and forehead.
Wednesday Addams
The most recognisable face of the Addams family is easily replicated with black eyeliner and lipstick, but for a true-to-original look, use white pigment, face powder or a very fair foundation as your base. Don’t forget the middle hair parting and side braids too!
