Bottega Veneta has released a new film. A full production shot on site in the house’s atelier in Montebello Vicentino in northern Italy. The short film offers audiences a rare glimpse into the brand’s handmade workshop, featuring its trademark Intrecciato.
The film, titled ‘Craft in Motion’, directed by Massimiliano Bomba reflects Bottega Veneta‘s communal spirit and widespread commitment to ‘quiet sophistication’. The atelier’s tranquil, brilliant environment in a restored 19th-century villa, the people, and the delicately handcrafted procedures behind each piece of art are revealed through alternating exterior and interior images.
The brand Bottega Veneta, as described by Creative Director Matthieu Blazy, is defined by excellent craftsmanship, inventiveness, and the notion of quiet strength. “I think luxury is something you feel rather than see; it is much more personal and emotive for the person wearing the clothing than for those looking at them. I want the wearer to be empowered without the clothing being loud. It is style over fashion in its timelessness.”
