French Maison Chloé has officially attained B Corp certification, an accreditation that attests to its high standards of social and environmental impact.
The rigorous B Corp certification process poses over 300 questions to brands on their governance, workers, communities and environmental initiatives. Chloé’s inclusion into the list marks the first time a luxury Maison has earned the certification.
According to Chloé, this achievement is the result of over 18 months of collective dedication and work from its teams around the world, in line with the brand’s mission of ‘Women Forward. For a Fairer Future.’
The brand also states that the certification demonstrates its progress and reiterates its resolve to push itself in doing better, using business as a means of benefiting all people and the environment.
Viewing the B Corp certification as part of an ongoing transformation into a purpose-driven model, Chloé also hopes that this will inspire other brands in the industry to join the movement.

“By becoming B Corp today, we reinforce our commitment to continuously challenging ourselves to use our brand and our business as a force for good,” he adds.
In 2019, Chloé introduced GIRLS FORWARD, partnering with UNICEF to provide girls in Bolivia, Jordan, Morocco, Senegal and Tajikistan tools to advance in the workplace through education and training programmes.
After Gabriela Hearst recent appointment as creative director, her first Chloé A/W 21 show implemented a 100 percent emissions offset by supporting a mangrove reforestation project in Myanmar.
