Hosted by Swiss Watch, Art of Time 2024 showcases masterpieces from 16 renowned watchmakers: Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Bovet, Bianchet, Breitling, Bremont, Bvlgari, Cyrus, Jaquet Droz, Perrelet, Piaget, Reservoir, Speake-Marin, TAG Heuer, Tudor, and Zenith. The event offers an immersive experience with bespoke booths highlighting each brand’s unique identity. In addition to the stunning timepieces, guests can enjoy Läderach chocolate tastings and exclusive shopping privileges. The launch also featured Rizman Ruzaini’s “Mehrunissa” collection, blending fashion with horological artistry.
To kick-off the evening in spectacular fashion, guests were welcomed to an exclusive treat and sneak preview from renowned Malaysian fashion designer, Rizman Ruzaini, who presented Mehrunissa, the Fall Winter 2024 collection that was showcased at the Dubai Fashion Week. Also in conjunction with the 10th edition of Art of Time, the event showcased iconic American and European cars, including models such as the 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville, 1965 Jaguar E-Type, and 1990 Porsche 911. Car enthusiasts, city-goers, and travellers admired the display, which marked the finale of Art of Time 2024.
Of course, there were numerous personalities in attendance flaunting their watches at Art of Time 2024, these are the few we spotted:
Divesh Valiram – Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
The third-generation Valiram family member, and son of Dato’ Sharan Valiram, was spotted with this exceptional Rolex that was initially launched back in 1963. The model is similar to the one his brother wore but in a different colour scheme. The brothers started out in the F&B and gourmet retail division of the business and are slowly expanding into other segments.
Dato’ Sri Jeffrey Raymond – Bovet X Pininfarina Aperto 1; Neerav Valiram – Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
Known for his extensive watch collection, Dato’ Sri Jeffrey Raymond rocked up to the Art of Time 2024 in a truly exquisite Bovet timepiece which is a mechanical watchmaking masterpiece that redefines the traditional skeleton’s delicate, technical, and aesthetics. Meanwhile, Neerav Valiram, the elder brother of Divesh was also spotted in a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona.
Joseph Boudville – Tudor Black Bay Chrono; Dato’ Azizulhasni Awang – Breitling Chronomat B01 Year of the Dragon
Joseph Boudville, the assistant general manager of Valiram Group was spotted in a Tudor Black Bay Chrono, which blends the maison’s aquatic and motorsport heritage. Beside him, Dato’ Azizulhasni Awang, who was named a friend of Valiram during the event, sports a limited edition Breitling that pays homage to the Year of the Dragon.
Madeline Chia – Zenith Chronomaster Sport
Zenith representative Madeline Chia donned an elegant Chronomaster Sport, which is a versatile chronograph in a modern yet inherently Zenith design, combining elements of past chronograph references such as the tri-colour dial, pump-style pushers, and steel bracelet.
Tong Chee Wei – Bell & Ross BR-03 Horizon
The general manager of Bell & Ross Malaysia obviously had to showcase the BR-03 Horizon. The instrument watch specialist takes inspiration from aircraft cockpits with the BR-03 Horizon, which evokes the iconic dial of the gyroscopes used for handling flights with zero visibility. The timepiece is limited to 999 pieces worldwide.
Clà Riedi – Tudor Black Bay 58
Seen with the iconic Black Bay 58 is Clà Riedi, general manager of Tudor Southeast Asia. The Black Bay 58 is named after the year in which the first Tudor divers’ watch waterproof to 200 metres was introduced. This model has a 39mm diameter case, in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s.
Mughni Che Din – TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Automatic
The founder and chief creative officer of MCD Creative was seen in a sporty Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Automatic. The timepiece is as daring and stylish as the man wearing it – with a distinctive 44mm steel case, black ceramic bezel, and powered by the Calibre 16 automatic, this TAG Heuer Carrera reveals all its strength of character.
