The (beauty) force is strong this May, with key launches across skincare, makeup, fragrance and haircare departments. There’s the unveiling of Laura Mercier’s first ever skincare line, for one, as well as Diptyque’s new skin and body collection.

Without further ado, here’s a list of all things beauty-related to keep an eye out for in May to draw one step closer to your beauty goals.

Diptyque L’Art du Soin

Drawing from its expertise as a luxury perfumer, Diptyque is proud to unveil its new collection of skin and body care inspired by sensual getaways and adventures: l’Art du Soin. Comprising of a face serum, hand washes, body lotions and more, the collection redefines the self-care experience through pampering textures and scents. Fragrance is integral to each product as a reflection of the Maison’s heritage, whilst staying away from controversial ingredients such as phthalates, parabens, TED/DEA, silicones, aluminum, mineral oils, synthetic colors and sulphates. Available from 15^th May at the diptyque Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Boutique, Kens Apothecary retail stores and online. 

Drunk Elephant Hair collection

Paging fans of cult-beauty brand Drunk Elephant, the hair collection you’ve been waiting for is coming very soon. Following the launch of its bodycare line, the clean-biocompatible beauty brand will be dropping a range of haircare products including a shampoo, conditioner, scalp scrub and tangle spray to ace your hair game. All products are formulated free of sulphates, silicones, essential oils, fragrance, dyes and drying alcohols to ensure a healthier scalp and healthier mane. Available from mid-May at sephora.my.

Laura Mercier Skin Essentials

For its first ever skincare collection, Laura Mercier is launching 10 skincare essentials inspired by Laura’s experience of working with models’ skin. This means you can start a complete Laura Mercier skincare regime from makeup remover and cleanser all the way to serum and moisturiser to perfectly prep your skin for makeup. At the heart of the collection is the Skin Essentials Complex, featuring French Spring Water, Rose Water and Starflower Oil, which helps to hydrate, balance and nourish the skin. Launching soon at all Laura Mercier retail stores and selected Sephora outlets.

Dior J’Adore Roller Pearl and Hair Mist

Dior’s iconic J’Adore fragrance line has been loved by many the world over since its inception in 1999. Now with both the EDT and EDP housed in travel-friendly flacons with pearl rolls under the screw-on cap at the top of its emblematic gold neck, fans can have precise, on-the-go application whenever, wherever. What’s more, there’s a new Hair Mist version made with the same fresh, floral scent of the J’adore EDP for a finishing touch to the perfume ritual. W dior.com 

Hourglass Veil Eye Primer & Soft Focus Setting Spray

In conjunction with the announcement of its new beauty ambassador, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Hourglass has added two products to its signature Veil line. Introducing the new Hourglass Veil Eye Primer and Soft Focus Setting Spray, designed to make your makeup last the extra mile. The former is made with vitamin E and antioxidants to eliminate dryness while creating a smooth canvas for your eye makeup, whereas the latter sets makeup with a “blurred effect” that enhances makeup wear for up to 24 hours. Kosé Sekkisei UV Protection set

Though staying indoors is part of the new norm, sunscreen is still as important as ever to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Kose’s new Sekkisei sunscreens are designed to provide sun protection while also offering hydration, clarity and smoothness. The secret ingredient: Jobs’s tears extract, which is known for healing dryness and acne, on top of moisturising, brightening and strengthening the skin barrier. The range includes a serum-based UV gel and UV milk, a UV Tone Up makeup base and a UV stick. Available from 1^st May via Lazada.  

fresh Rose Oil Infused Serum

New to fresh’s signature rose skincare range is this next-gen bi-phase serum that claims to feed your skin with the exact ratio of oil and water it needs for deep hydration and nourishment. It contains rose water and damask rose extract to help soothe and hydrate the skin, as well as a blend of botanical oils – including rose flower, camelina, rosehip and squalene) – to soften and plump the skin with moisture. Chloe Nomade Absolu de Parfum

Another fragrance launch to catch our attention is Chloe’s new Absolu de Parfum, making an audacious reference to the male olfactory universe while capturing the feminine elegance of the Nomade fragrance line. At the heart of the fragance is the signature scent of oakmoss, now enhanced with a fruity blend of juicy, mirabelle plum and velvety davana. Completing the intense, sophisticated scent is the warm, creamy and woody hint of sandalwood. Available now at all major departmental stores and Sephora.
