Remember when Bell & Ross’ BR 03-92 DIVER FULL LUM helped set the new standard for divers’ watches with its unparalleled brightness and luminescence? Well, the watchmaker has not stopped pushing boundaries in exploring legibility and brightness, launching the new VINTAGE BR V2-94 FULL LUM.
For this limited edition 41mm stainless steel chronograph, the brand worked with various shades of luminescence to achieve perfectly legibility in the brightest day and darkest night. The metal dial is completely coated with a paint made of green SuperLumiNova® C5 luminescent pigments, with the metal applique skeletonised numerals, indices, hands, and counters filled with pale yellow SuperLumiNova® C3. With endless brightness charge and discharge cycles, as well as quick recharge, the efficacy and intensity of the timepiece do not alter nor waver.
During the day, the graphic dial and the dark, contrasting lines of the numerals, indices, hands, and counters highlight the essential, while the night time prompts the dial to light up. The luminescent dial illuminates with its signature FULL LUM punch of light, infusing a bold fluorescence to the pale green background. Meanwhile, 30-minute counter and chrono seconds hand take on a fluorescent blue hue.
The VINTAGE BR V2-94 FULL LUM sports an ultra-domed glass-box sapphire crystal, with the caseback also made from sapphire crystal. It’s equipped with the mechanical movement Caliber BR-CAL.301, and features water-resistance of up to 100 metres. The chronograph pushers have been screwed down to avoid accidental activation, and the black anodised aluminium bezel has a 60-minute scale.
Limited to 250 pieces at RM19,900 each, the Bell & Ross VINTAGE BR V2-94 FULL LUM is finally fitted with a strap made from weave black rubber known as “tropic”, which gives a vintage, sporty look to this contemporary chronograph.
