As we step into Luca BSC, the lighting is dim and inviting, casting a warm glow over plush seating and thoughtfully arranged tables. Wine glasses and polished cutlery sit patiently in place, hinting at the experience to come.
Located at Bangsar Shopping Centre, Luca BSC sits within what many would consider a neighbourhood mall – familiar, approachable, and easy to return to. Inside, the restaurant offers both a stylish indoor dining area and a shaded outdoor space, making it versatile for different moods and occasions.
This balance between comfort and sophistication mirrors Luca’s newly launched menu, which brings together modern European and Indian cuisines under one confident culinary vision. Available from 7 January 2026, the refreshed menu marks a new chapter for Luca BSC, one that celebrates bold flavours, quality ingredients, and thoughtful craftsmanship.
A refined take on Indian classics

For those looking for a contemporary take on Indian dishes, the menu at Luca BSC is a standout, celebrating flavours from across India with traditional techniques and modern finesse. From vegetarian classics like Paneer Tikka to hearty seafood and meat preparations such as Nandu Varuval, it showcases an array of specialties, offering something for every palate. The result is a dining experience that feels both familiar and exciting, with bold, layered flavours that satisfy both comfort and curiosity.
One of the dishes we had from the Indian menu was the the Kali Mirch Tandoori Jheenga featuring king prawns or jheenga in Hindi, marinated with kali mirch, meaning black pepper, and a blend of fragrant spices. Grilled to smoky perfection, the prawns deliver the unmistakable tandoori flavour, a harmonious balance of char, warmth, and aromatic spice that instantly signals classic tandoori cooking.
Served alongside dill raita and mint chutney, the sauces provide a refreshing contrast: the raita, a yogurt-based sauce with dill, offers a cool, creamy counterpoint to the smoky heat, while the mint chutney adds a bright, herbaceous lift. Together, they enhance each bite and allow the natural sweetness of the prawns to shine.
Equally memorable was the Malabar Mango Fish Curry, a dish that surprised with its gentle interplay of tang and spice. The curry was rich and aromatic, with mango lending a subtle sweetness that complemented the flaky fish beautifully, making it both comforting and vibrant.
The Mutton Sukka on the other hand, delivered deeper, more robust flavours. Slow-cooked and generously spiced, the dish was intensely savoury with tender chunks of mutton coated in a dry, aromatic masala. It was the kind of dish that speaks to tradition, perfect with rice or flatbread, and a clear highlight for those who enjoy bold Indian flavours.
European comfort with a modern edge

On the European side, Luca continues to showcase its strength in elevated comfort food, combining classic techniques with contemporary presentation and premium ingredients. The menu spans indulgent highlights such as a Premium Grass-Fed Tomahawk and Roasted Suckling Lamb Leg, alongside pizzas and pastas for carb lovers seeking comforting favourites.
Crispy on the outside and generously filled, we tried the Jalapeño Popper Stuffed Wings that struck a satisfying balance between heat, creaminess, and crunch – a proven crowd-favourite from the previous menu that made a well-deserved return. Despite the chef sharing that it takes three people just to prepare this dish, it’s back by popular demand, a testament to how much diners love it and why it’s worth the effort.
The Cauliflower Steak was also another thoughtful addition to the menu, reflecting Luca’s attention to vegetarian offerings. Roasted until beautifully caramelised, it was hearty and flavourful, though those sensitive to spice should take note – the dish does come with a noticeable kick. Together, these dishes highlight Luca’s European menu as one rooted in familiarity, elevated through careful technique, considered execution, and layered flavours.
Sweet finishes and thoughtful pairings

Sticking to the theme of East meets West, the dessert offerings feature a mix of favourites such as Crème Brûlée, Crêpe Suzette, Vermicelli Kulfi, Kala Jamun, and more. For those with a sweet tooth, Something Chocolate is not to be missed.
The dessert earned its name after diners repeatedly asked, “Do you have something chocolate?” back when chocolate desserts weren’t part of the menu – so the kitchen decided to make it official in this round’s menu refresh. Rich and comforting without being overwhelming, it offers a satisfying contrast to the savoury courses before, appealing to chocolate lovers and casual dessert fans alike.
Additionally, Luca BSC’s drinks menu complements the food well, with wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options designed to pair seamlessly with both European and Indian flavours. We had two cocktails in particular, the Rogan Rouge and Amber Veil, both inspired by Indian flavours and ingredients.

The Rogan Rouge offered a playful nod to classic curry notes with gin, spiced honey, tomato water, and a light cashew nut foam, while the Amber Veil leaned deeper and more aromatic, layering whisky with saffron-infused vermouth, floral Rooh Afza, and a whisper of applewood smoke. Whether you’re sipping alongside small plates or enjoying a full multi-course meal, the beverage selection adds to the overall experience.
With its refreshed menu, Luca BSC confidently positions itself as a versatile dining destination – one where modern European favourites and refined Indian specialities coexist without compromise. Designed for sharing, discovery, and repeat visits, the new menu reflects Luca’s evolution into a space where flavour, comfort, and cultural depth come together effortlessly.
