Five years after pioneering the luxury smartwatch segment, TAG Heuer remains among the top of the competition with its latest Connected smartwatch. The third-generation models are sportier than ever in both form and function, featuring a refreshed yet quintessentially TAG Heuer design and upgraded sensors.
Launched last week, the new TAG Heuer Connected collection is available in four models, including three stainless steel versions and one in titanium.
Marked by iconic design
Right off the bat, the new Connected design recalls the Swiss watchmaker’s chronograph heritage with its signature faceted lugs, graduated ceramic bezel and central rotating crown – only difference being the two functional push buttons that draw from the Carrera family. Distinguishing the models is the finishing of ceramic bezel, which includes black or PVD metal, brushed, polished or micro-blasted.
All four models come in 45mm cases with a screwed caseback and strap choices of either black perforated rubber or steel bracelet with a folding buckle. The straps are easily exchangeable via an improved, intuitive clasp mechanism, which can also be used with a selection of other TAG Heuer accessories.
The dial features a 1.39-inch OLED touchscreen display that is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It switches from active to ambient mode to prolong battery life, but always indicates time. It also comes with a magnetic battery charger and a bespoke travel pouch.

Sports and style, Connected
Thanks to its sporty elegance, the new Connected smartwatch looks great for going from the office to the gym. Powered by Google’s Wear OS, it has all the standard tools and applications needed for daily use such as notification updates, weather, maps, contactless payments (wherever applicable), music and more that work well with both iOS and Android platforms.
On top of that, it comes with a new, custom-designed TAG Heuer Sports application that supports golf, running, cycling, walking, fitness functions as well as a host of other activities on the way. Together with a Snapdragon processor upgrade, new heart-rate monitor, built-in GPS, 5 ATM water resistance, stopwatch, compass, accelerometer and gyroscope, it’s safe to say the new Connected is built to perform, and to do that with style.
It also features a larger battery capacity at 430 mAH, boasting all-day stamina optimised to include an hour of GPS-equipped sports, or up to six hours of continuous sports tracking using GPS, heart-rate monitoring and music. A full charge only takes 1.5 hours at temperatures between 15°C and 45°C.
