From its power to warm and protect, to the ethereal glow it bestows on us during the Golden Hour, the glorious Sun is the indisputable king of the world. Without its light, we would have never known happiness and life the way we know now. And Piaget pays a worthy tribute to the Sun with the latest 2021 edition of the Sunlight Collection.
A main source of inspiration for the Maison since the very beginning, the Sun does more than symbolise life, brilliance, and joy – also embodying the radiance, optimism, and lively spirit of the Maison. Below, we journey through the new collection – featuring glittering pieces set with brilliant-cut diamonds, rich gemstones of various hues, and elegant silhouettes that can be worn from dawn ’til dusk.
The magic of Dawn
The first light of dawn marks a magical moment – the start of a brand new day. There’s a moment of peace when the sun slowly begins to peep over the horizon, when one is most hopeful – anticipating a day full of promise. To capture this unique moment of tranquility, Piaget unveils two new 18K rose gold rings – one with a flawless, scratch-resistant finish, and the other depicting the rising sun with the Maison’s iconic Palace Décor engraving and 19 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Power of the Sun
When the sunlight slowly begins to hit everything we touch, its rays impart an ethereal sparkle to the Earth, awaking its inhabitants and creatures while imbuing a new energy into them to begin the day. A new Piaget Sunlight 18K white gold pendant celebrates this new beginning, with a 30 x 32mm diamond-studded sun emblem and a snow-setting of three different shades of blue sapphires that accentuate the sparkle of the sun. The blue sapphires are surrounded by a dazzle of sun rays that are also adorned with 61 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Matching, daintier pieces include an 18K white gold ring with the same snow-setting of 102 brilliant-cut blue sapphires of two different colours and 17 brilliant-cut diamonds, as well as a pair of 18K white gold hoop earrings with 18 brilliant-cut blue sapphires and 36 brilliant-cut diamonds.
And to record the start of the day, the new Sunlight collection also features a 32mm Limelight Gala Sunrise timepiece that comes in a 18K white gold case, with a bezel that’s set with 32 brilliant-cut blue sapphires and 10 brilliant-cut diamonds. This watch is only available in 18 pieces, with each unit being numbered.
When the sun reaches its zenith – it is directly overhead, drenching us all in its power, brilliance, and majesty. It represents the brightest and most active time of the day, and the new Sunlight collection praises this with another iteration of the Piaget Sunlight Pendant, Sunlight Ring, Sunlight Hoop Earrings, and Limelight Gala Sunlight Timepiece. This time, offered in 18K yellow or white gold, and adorned with diamond and bold yellow sapphires. The watch is offered in 8 numbered pieces.

As for the Limelight Gala Sunset timepiece, an 18K rose gold case is surrounded by a bezel set with 32 brilliant-cut pink sapphires that transition to 10 brilliant-cut diamonds. It also marks the most accessible watch of the Sunlight timepieces, limited to 50 pieces.
