The new models in the OMEGA Constellation Gents’ Collection come in stainless steel, 18K gold, or a combination of both.
OMEGA debuts the new Constellation Gents’ Collection, which builds upon the line’s trademark of blending precision with timeless style. While these new 41mm watches take on a revived sophisticated style, they continue to capture the Constellation’s most distinct design traits, such as the iconic claws, half-moon facets at either end of the case, Roman numerals, and single golden star.
The watchmaker also integrates some of its finest and most advanced watchmaking materials into the new designs. This includes models fashioned in stainless steel, 18K gold, or a combination of both. Almost all the bezels have been crafted in polished ceramic, to replicate the look of the original 1982 Constellation Manhattan, which used shiny sapphire glass.
Out of all the models in the Gents’ Collection, only one model stands out from the crowd with its very own stainless steel bezel, which has been enhanced by blackened Roman numerals. For the models that sport ceramic bezels, the Roman numerals are highlighted in either OMEGA Ceragold™ or Liquidmetal™.
To give a more slender look to the collection, one has to note the bevelling along the edges of the case and claws; even the crown has been subtly reshaped for added style. In addition, the hands have been given a slimline update, and the new indexes reflect the triangular facets of the Freedom Tower from the Manhattan skyline.
The caseback is crafted of sapphire crystal, which shows off the OMEGA Master Co-Axial Calibre 8900/8901 within. All watches have been Master Chronometer certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) at the industry’s highest standards of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance.
Finishing off this year’s collection are leather straps with an anti-bacterial rubber lining on most of the new models. A decorated metallic link connects each side of the strap to the case, creating a unique look. For those who wish to pull off a fully metallic look can have their new models fitted with any bracelet in the Constellation 39mm collection.
