Dive into your mission to save the seas with the new OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition.
OMEGA doesn’t just produce stylish watches, it also works on making time to conserve the planet and its oceans. That’s why there’s no better partnership for the watchmaker than with Nekton, a non-profit research foundation committed to the exploration and protection of the world’s oceans. In honour of Nekton’s work and their partnership, OMEGA has produced the 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition.
“Our friends at Nekton are protecting the ocean with the global goal of 30% protection by 2030,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, the President and CEO of OMEGA, who sees clear parallels between Nekton and the watch company. “As a pioneering brand with a long history of pushing at the boundaries of what is possible, we have the utmost respect for this bold, confident vision and we’re thrilled to help make the goal a reality.”
The OMEGA Nekton Edition features a laser ablated black ceramic dial that’s matte finished with polished waves in positive relief. A unidirectional rotating bezel in grade 5 titanium with laser ablated diving scale also executed in positive relief. The oriented caseback is embossed with the Nekton submarine medallion as a tribute to the foundation, and engraved with NAIADLOCK, DIVER 300M, as well as the watch’s resistance of up to 300 metres.
This diver’s watch is powered by the Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 with a special luxury finish, Geneva waves in arabesque and rhodium-plated rotor and bridges. It’s certified by METAS, with a magnetic field resistance of 15,000 gauss.
Depending on which style you’re going for, the OMEGA Nekton Edition comes in two models. The first one is fitted with an integrated black rubber strap with polished-brushed buckle to complement the black ceramic dial. On the other hand, there’s a stainless steel bracelet version for a more luxurious look and feel.
If you’d like to own a watch that isn’t just stylish on the wrist, but also gives back to a worthwhile cause, visit the OMEGA website for more information.
