A spy-worthy racer, two SUVs, and two Countrymen have landed on Malaysian shores…
It has been another buzzing month across automotive segments in the country, and we’re not just talking new cars. We took a road trip with BMW Malaysia, and saw Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launch an electric mobility brand, as well as its first locally-assembled AMG models.
Naturally, we weren’t short of releases from these premium automakers, either. Here are details and prices of latest rides in the country.
Aston Martin DB11 V8

It bears a name synonymous to exception performance and undeniable presence. Following its V12 brother is the V8 Aston Martin DB11, powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre engine. Going 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds flat is definitely giving us MI6 vibes, as did that visceral roar we heard at its mid-April release.
The company simultaneously launched its new Aston Martin Service Centre in Lingui Industrial Park, Sungai Buloh.
The V8-powered Aston Martin DB11 is priced from RM 1,800,000 (after duties and GST). Call 03 21631196 to book a viewing appointment or visit the official site for more.
BMW X3

BMW is on a roll. Just shortly after the BMW X2 comes the locally-assembled BMW X3, further solidifying BMW Group’s position in the region and segment.
Swearing by 50:50 weight distribution, BMW X3 combines a carefully-crafted chassis with the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system. It’s also 55 kg lighter than its predecessor.
Under the hood is a four-cylinder, BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0 with 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. BMW X3 goes 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, hitting a top speed of 240 km/h. That’s 252 hp and 350 Nm torque. It essentially exists for dynamic off-roading. Three driving modes -Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport – set the tone.
The BMW X family is already enjoying growing interest and support locally with the X5 and X2. Now, Malaysia looks set for the BMW X3. It comes in six different colours, with a price tag of RM 320,000 (OTR, without insurance). That’s with the usual BMW perks, of course. Deliveries commence in July.

Jaguar Land Rover F-Pace
(swipe left for more)
Meet Jaguar’s first attempt at an aluminium-heavy design, powered by one of the world’s top engines. Jaguar Land Rover F-Pace 2.0L Ingenium SUV is now available at all local dealerships in three variants.
At first glance, 20-inch wheels and a short front overhang preserve the C-X17 concept design vision. This version is also updated with surround camera system, adaptive cruise control with queue assist, and a sweet 12.3-inch instrument panel display.
Easily most admirable, however, is its 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Ingenium engine paired with ZF 8HP45 transmission. Its twin-scroll turbocharger is boosted by an integrated two-cylinder system.
Reaching approximately 247 hp and 365 Nm torque from 1,200 rpm, the Jaguar F-Pace also does a 6.8-second century sprint. While acceleration is powerful, the SUV also runs smoothly at lower speeds – thanks to enhanced pendulum damper that absorbs low-frequency vibrations. Switch from Normal to Sports mode to experience the adaptive dynamics that make it a great solo or family drive.
Jaguar F-Pace 2.0L Ingenium is priced by variants below, with five-year warranty and service.
Prestige: RM 425,800
R-Sport (mid-spec): RM 476,800
R-Sport (high-spec): RM 498,800

This Countryman is assembled outside Netherlands, for the first time, here in Malaysia. Built for the small yet adventurous spirit, it is fitted with the MINI John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit.
With its sports suspension, the car optimises ground contact and is exceptionally agile. It’s also much easier to handle in parking, thanks to front and rear Park Distance Control. This Countryman parks itself while the driver simply operates the accelerator and brake pedals.
MINI Cooper S Countryman Sports is powered by a 2-litre, four-cylinder MINI TwinPower engine and 8-speed sports auto transmission with paddle shifters. That translates to a top speed of 224 km/h, 192 hp and 280 Nm torque.
Also new to this sports version is the split-screen 8.8″ Touch Display with Navigation. It’s fitted with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system for that next-level listening experience.
