Only 60 of this anniversary edition MINI Cooper S 3 Door are available in Malaysia.
That’s right, it has been 60 years since the iconic MINI captured hearts with its adorable design and thrilling go-kart handling. To commemorate the occasion, a special edition MINI Cooper S 3 Door has been introduced under the moniker MINI 60 Years Edition. True to its name, only 60 will make it to Malaysian shores; enthusiasts and collectors, this is your cue!
Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, had this to say about the special release: “With the MINI 60 Years Edition in the brighter and more eye-catching ‘New British Racing Green’ exterior paint finish, this exclusive model pays tribute to MINI’s British racing pedigree and paves the way for a new era. Captivating from every angle, the MINI 60 Years Edition radiates style and attitude – with a nod to the past, while looking towards an exciting future.”

Each of these models is extensively marked with the ’60’ that makes it so special. You’ll find ’60 Years’ on the black bonnet stripes (seen here: Aspen White and British Oak pinstripes). You’ll find it on the side scuttle badging and door sills. Yet another big ’60’ is crafted into the lower spoke of the hand-stitched Walknappa Leather Steering Wheel. It even shines from the exterior mirror, leaving no doubt that this is indeed an anniversary edition for the world’s most dedicated MINI fans.
Another unique feature is the two-tone 17-inch light alloy wheels with run-flat tyres. They command attention and appreciation, as do the Union Jack design seen on the LED headlights, fog lamps, white turn indicators, and rear lights.
Inside, dark maroon leather upholstery with bold stiching lends a classy feel that’s quite a throwback to the 60s. Fret not, though, because nothing is outdated. In fact, there’s a new high-resolution 6.5-inch Touch Screen Display with Navigation. Should that not suffice, you can also access directions, messages, and music via Apple CarPlay. Expect all the standard connectivity and driving assistants, too.
There’s even room for personalised fun, with 12 ambient lighting colour options and sports seats up front. The cabin is safe for little ones too, thanks to the child seat ISOFIX attachment.
For those curious about what’s under the hood, here are the details: MINI 60 Years Edition is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo engine, combined with 7-speed DCT Steptronic Sports Transmission. This model comes complete with Sports Suspension settings, for those who enjoy the go-karting thrill of MINIs. Century sprint is completed in 6.7 seconds, while top speed is hit at 235 km/h. Consumption: 5.5 litres every 100km. Carbon dioxide emission: 125 g/km.
Lucky owners will be able to choose between three distinct modes: Green, Mid, and Sport.
MINI 60 Years Edition is available in two colour options: New British Racing Green with Pepper White roof and mirror caps, and ‘Melting Silver’ with Jet Black roof and mirror caps.
Get your MINI before 31 August to enjoy the 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive programme, which includes free scheduled service and 60 month-warranty with unlimited mileage. Purchases after August will still be entitled to the MINI 4 Years warranty + service package. MINI 60 Years Edition is priced at RM 255,888 (on-the-road, before insurance).
