Louis Vuitton Pavilion grand opening party
Louis Vuitton Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
Louis Vuitton recently celebrated the grand opening of its new triplex Pavilion Kuala Lumpur boutique with a star-studded guestlist headlined by brand ambassador, rapper, singer and songwriter Jackson Wang, a member of K-pop group Got7. Other notable guests in attendance include local celebrities Awal Ashaari, Scha Alyahya, Alvin Chong and Eyka Farhana as well as fashion glitterati Jane Chuck, Jack Gohr, Zhen Ning, and more.
Located within the city’s premier commercial hub, the new triplex store offers the Maison’s range of Women’s and Men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, luggage and trunks, along with a selection of accessories, fragrances, watches and fine jewellery.
Making a grand first impression is the 11-meter high exterior facade, which interprets the emblematic Monogram through perforated aluminium panels. In the evening, the panels illuminate its surroundings along the main shopping street, Jalan Bukit Bintang, offering glimpses into the store’s interior and inviting shoppers in. The facade also extends seamlessly into the mall, graduating into a warmer and welcoming ambiance for clients to explore its collections.
Inside, the space incorporates elegant lines, rich materials and a meticulous display of local and international design pieces and artworks. To showcase the beauty of Malaysian culture, the Maison collaborated with renowned local artist Red Hongyi to create bespoke art pieces for the store.
The men’s universe is located on Level 2, the lowest level of the store, where the interior shifts to warmer tones and richer materials like wood. A stone staircase leads customers up to the women’s universe on Level 3, with Mondrian-inspired patterns of metallic trims and light cuts enhancing the dynamic flow between the spaces.
Taking the staircase to Level 3 reveals a double-height area showcasing women’s shoes, allowing natural light in through the exterior facade. Customers can also browse the latest women’s leather goods in a space highlighted by an exclusive handmade wallpaper by Atelier Martin Berger. Further in, there’s a private client salon that is bathed in natural light and adorned with a painted and women straw artwork that’s cusom-designed by the artist MOOK.
Moving up to the third storey on Level 4, customers will find the Maison’s more exclusive products such as leather goods, timepieces, and fine jewellery. Here, the design elements feature Botticino marble arches and walls with mother-of-pearl inlays.
Customers may explore the collections from the comfort of two separate private salons – the first of which is characterised by rounded forms and a handmade wallpaper from the French atelier of Martin Berger, which immerses the space in red tones that lighten as the ceiling rises. The second has more regular shapes and enjoys natural light filtered from the exterior, reflecting off the walls covered in golden wallpaper and vintage furniture with soft green fabrics. Both rooms are decorated with custom artworks by some of Southeast Asia’s most influential local artists.
Louis Vuitton’s Pavilion Kuala Lumpur store stands as more than just a retail destination, but also a celebration of art, design and cultural heritage.
