Setting watches with diamonds is nothing new. Snow set, diamond encrusted, or having them dancing loosely in the dial have all been done before.
Leave it to British jeweller Graff to set new standards with its latest watch aptly named a Diamond Threads Watch.
As its name suggests, it is held together by a diamond thread – made from 5.85 carats of the finest colourless diamonds. At first glance, it appears that they are just simply strung together in organic flow, but look closer and get ready to be blinded by the ingenuity as much as the brilliance.
Each of the rows of diamonds stands in for a geometric stitch, delicately linked to the next to form a precious thread of interlinking brilliant and baguette cut diamonds.
The resultant shape is playful yet feminine, seemingly candid yet organised.
The Diamond Threads Watch can be worn on its own but its real brilliance is magnified when worn with its complete collection which includes fine bracelets, drop earrings, rings and necklaces in the same abstract composition.
Each features the same sleek delivate lattice effect on the skin for a graphic that is as arresting as the jewels are.
