Back in 2019, Chopard Manufacture unveiled its first automatic movement with a flying tourbillon, the L.U.C 96.24-L. Launched with the L.U.C Flying T Twin, The calibre featured Chopard Twin technology with two stacked barrels and highly precise adjustments that impressed with its technical intricacy as well as aesthetic elegance.
Now, two new L.U.C Flying T Twin Ladies models powered by the same movement are added to the selection of refined pieces, crafted in ethical 18-carat rose gold or diamond-set platinum.
First presented at Watches and Wonders in Shanghai last year, the two ultra-thin timepieces are 35-millimetres in diameter to complement a woman’s delicate wrist. Thanks to its slender movement and its case measuring just 7.47 millimetres, the two creations are among the smallest flying tourbillon watches on the market.
Limited to only 25 pieces, the models are instantly distinguished by their dazzling dials, one in textured mother-of-pearl and the other paved with diamonds. The gold version of the L.U.C Flying T Twin Ladies showcases hour-markers set with brilliant-cut diamonds, save for the golden Arabic numeral 12. The platinum variation’s dial is richly set with 282 diamonds that highlight the tourbillon carriage.
At the 6 o’clock opening of the two pieces, the flying tourbillon takes centre stage, its lightness used to create a sense of transparency and depth. Additionally, the tourbillon carriage is topped by a small seconds hand.
The 3.30 mm thick L.U.C calibre 96.24-L, housed in the L.U.C Flying T Twin Ladies, features a 65-hour power reserve and 22-carat gold micro-rotor, with the platinum version adding an even more luxurious touch with a diamond set micro-rotor. The movement also boasts a stop-seconds function that’s rarely found in a tourbillon, ensuring expert precision.
With the L.U.C Flying T Twin Ladies’ Poinçon de Genève and chronometer certifications, owners can be sure that their exclusive timepiece is made with top-tier craftsmanship and brilliant dexterity.
The watches are now available with colored alligator straps, bringing modernity to their timeless case. For more information, visit chopard.com
