The two new additions to the classic Blancpain Villeret collection elevates its timeless aesthetic codes with modern details to evoke mystery and elegance.

Named after the village where Swiss luxury watchmaker Blancpain was founded in 1735, the Villeret collection is known for their classic styles and technical sophistication. The collection’s assets are now further highlighted with two new rose gold models sporting a mysterious midnight blue dial adorning two of the collection’s flagship timepieces.

Elaborate, artistic elegance is captured in the Villeret Quantième Complet model, which beautifully combines a complete calendar and moon phases. The dial features discreet apertures that indicate the day of the week and month at 12 o’clock, a calendar with a serpentine hand and a moon-phase display with a cheeky face at 6 o’clock. Powered by a 6654 self-winding movement, this timepiece also comes with a safety system that protects it against any improper use of the functions. The wearer is able to set the complete calendar at any time without tampering with the movement, unlike conventional calendar watches. This model is also equipped with patented under-lug correctors, enabling all the information to be adjusted at the press of a finger, thus eliminating the need for a pusher tool.

On the other hand, the Villeret Ultraplate takes on a cleaner, contemporary expression – while retaining the collection’s aesthetic codes. The hour and minute display is complemented by a large central seconds hand and a date window at 3 o’clock, perfectly sized so that optimal visual balance and readability are achieved. The Villeret Ultraplate is driven by the self-winding movement 1151, and its two series-coupled barrels and high-performance springs help to ensure a solid four-day power reserve.

Both models see a midnight-blue dial paired with a 40mm rose gold case for the first time. The colour blue is a symbol of nobility and refinement, and its depth and shimmer is elevated thanks to its sunburst dial finish. The blue face of this duo is decorated with applied hour-markers with Roman numerals crafted in rose gold and sleek matching hands. The hour and minute hands take the form of cut-out sage leaves, and the seconds hands carry the initials of the House’s founder, Jehan-Jacques Blancpain.

The charm of the Villeret Quantième Complet and Villeret Ultraplate continues on the reverse side. The movements of the watches can be seen through a sapphire crystal case-back, the former sporting embellishments such as the Côtes de Genève motif adorning the bridges and the honeycomb pattern that sits on the rose gold oscillating weights. These beautiful and mysterious timepieces are fitted with either a deep, midnight-blue alligator strap that matches the intensity of the dial, or an eye-catching Milanese-style rose gold bracelet.
