When all the spotlight is on you, picking the perfect wristwatch and accessory to complement your tailored suits becomes a high-stakes roulette. All of them brought their A-game, choosing timepieces that ranged from the understated TAG Heuers to the strikingly original Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso to the eye-catching Cartier Crash. By virtue of choice however, OMEGA might prove to be the biggest winner of the night.
Below are some of the watches seen at the Golden Globes.
Timothée Chalamet stepped out in a Dali-inspired piece, the Cartier Crash that features 470 diamonds on its bracelet. The Cartier Crash is limited to only 67 pieces.
Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr. left the night with a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Oppenheimer”. The actor wore a striking Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph that was only released last year at Watches and Wonders. The rose-gold timepiece features a manual wound chronograph movement (the JLC 860) that pushes two sets of hands in opposite (reverso) directions to indicate the time on both dials.
Patrick J. Adams
The star of “Suits”, which despite having ended years ago, is seeing a renaissance thanks to Netflix. Patrick J. Adams wore an Omega Constellation, a classic.
Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh
Malaysia’s dame and biggest star, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh returned to the Globes this year as a presenter. She selected a bright red Richard Mille RM-010 to match her dress.
Jonathan Bailey, star of “Fellow Travelers”, opted for an Omega De Ville Trésor, with a 40mm steel case and features a bezel set containing 72 full-cut diamonds.
Kevin Costner left his cowboy boots and hat for tuxedo accessorized with a sleek Omega De Ville Prestige.
Will Ferrell loves his NTTD Omega Seamaster Diver 300m in titanium bracelet; a piece that came into prominence thanks to James Bond.
Cillian Murphy, who won Best Actor at the Golden Globes for playing the titular character in Oppenheimer, wore an 18-karat Sedna gold Omega De Ville Tresor with a domed burgundy dial.
John Krasinski’s watch of choice for the night was the timeless 40mm self-winding IWC Portugieser Automatic with stainless steel case.
Best Actor nominee for “Rustin”, Colman Domingo wore a 41 mm OMEGA Constellation Globemaster in Sedna Gold on a leather strap.
Barry Keoghan matched his striking red Louis Vuitton suit with the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. The gold timepiece showcases nearly 500 diamonds with red rubies set as indices on the dial.
