When Franck Muller first introduced the Vanguard Rose Skeleton in 2021, it took the watch world by storm. Featuring the house’s typical audacious design and fine precision engineering, the unique floral motifs became a distinctive silhouette of Franck Muller’s more elegant and feminine designs.
Now, the Vanguard Rose Skeleton gets a revamp with a generous scattering of 422-brilliant cut black diamonds and a black PVD treatment with contrasting white gold casing and movement bridges.
Inspired by the flowers surrounding the house’s headquarters in Genthod, Switzerland, the floral decorations and skeletonised bridges of the movements are intricately handcrafted by artisans. As an added personal touch, the timepiece also features a hand-painted enamel varnish display in four different bold hues as an ode to the colours of a lovely Spring day.
The interiors of the timepiece are just as alluring as it comes with a slightly larger version of the exclusive in-house 1540 VS17 calibre and a manually-wound movement with twin barrels offering a combined 4-day power reserve, which the brand says is an “impressive feat” considering the compact nature of the calibre and the timepiece’s slimness. In Franck Muller’s world, romance is certainly still very much alive.
