Cats have appeared on kate spade new york collections for years, whether in the form of prints, silhouettes or embellishments. This holiday season, creative director Nicola Glass has let the cat out of the bag once again with a range of clothing, handbags, jewellery, shows and home items inspired by felines.
To reflect both the muse and festive spirit of the collection, the brand has collaborated with local animal rescue team, Allergic Rescuers KL, to spread the awareness on pet adoption. Founded by a group of friends, the animal rescue team advocates for the adoption and fostering of felines in need, managing to save over 400 cats off the street and giving them a new home.
The campaign involves KL’s most stylish cat-loving personalities, including Rosy Kim (founder of Allergic Rescuers KL), Daiyan Trisha, Ameera Khan, Kittie Yiyi, Ally Mukhriz, Julie Anne Kang and Aina Syahirah – all of whom are dressed up in pieces from the holiday collection and pictured alongside adorable rescues from Allergic Rescuers KL.
Together with the fashion brand and animal rescue team, these personalities hope to inspire others to spread kindness, love and joy this season. And if possible – adopt, don’t shop, as you can potentially save lives and make your own more meaningful in the process, too.
