That’s why EQ has already unveiled its lineup of Christmas and holiday season offerings across all its restaurants and lounges, alongside take-home treats and seasonal gift boxes to complete your celebrations.
There’s a lot to look forward to at EQ this Christmas and year-end season, and the offerings are available to enjoy from December 1 all the way to New Year’s Day. Here is a rundown of what’s happening as part of EQ’s Holiday Spirit seasonal promotions this year, so you can decide, book, and get your plans sorted early.
Delightful December Deals
Kick the festive season off at Etoile with a Thanksgiving semi-buffet lunch on 1 December! As the North American celebration typically takes place at the end of November, it’s widely regarded as the start of Christmas season. At Etoile, you can enjoy a buffet of appetisers, desserts and drinks, and you can order a selection of mains from the veritable spread of Thanksgiving classics.
Over at Nipah, EQ’s all-day dining restaurant, it’ll be festive buffets galore throughout December, where buffet lunch and dinner services are available daily, except on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Expect seasonal specialties like wagyu beef hammer, roasted lamb leg, and lobster thermidor alongside many more options.
If you’re looking for lighter bites and delightful tea to accompany your celebrations, then Bottega’s Festive Dolce Vita Afternoon Tea will be more your style. Available on Mondays and Saturdays in December, you’ll be plied with Christmas-themed teatime bites, Ronnefeldt teas and specialty coffee for each session. On Sundays, the Festive Dolce Vita Afternoon Tea Buffet opens, with an extended menu of their dainty delights and the choice of additional Prosecco or cocktails to enjoy alongside the tea.
At Sabayon, EQ’s fine dining restaurant, you’ll be transported to Europe for your festive meal, through the four- or eight-course Festive Dinner. Inspired by classic European Continental Christmas flavours, the degustation menu features plates like Angus beef tartare, Scottish salmon, and cheese raclette.
Another EQ tradition also makes a return, as the Chalet pop-up at Sabayon is set to serve every Sunday in December with the Chalet Festive Sunday four-course lunch menu. Sink your teeth into signature dishes like Duck Breast à l’Orange, Filet de Saumon Norvégien, and Crêpes Suzette which will not only satisfy the stomach, but also set the mood for a truly continental Christmas feast. The Chalet Festive Sunday course menu also comes with the choice of a lobster thermidor upgrade and an unlimited drinks trolley to enhance the fun.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Feasts
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, all of EQ’s restaurants will be serving specially crafted menus to commemorate the day. Sabayon will be serving a Christmas Eve six-course dinner featuring classic French and central European dishes, the restaurant’s signature cuisine focus and a great way to have a continental holiday meal. On Christmas day, Sabayon will be hosting the exclusive Chalet Christmas Day buffet lunch, a nod to the Hotel Equatorial’s famed fine dining establishment and Sabayon’s predecessor. Fans of Chalet will want to make sure to save their spot for the dinner which will serve up Chalet’s signature dishes and refined European food.
For those who prefer to stay up all night on Christmas Eve in anticipation of the holiday, then head to the rooftop bar and lounge Blue for the Sky High Celebration. Complete with live band and DJ sets for all-night partying, as well as special menu chock full of festive cocktails and mocktails, your Christmas is sure to start with an unforgettable night.
For something a little more gourmet, spend your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Etoile, Kampachi and Nipah instead! In Etoile, bistro-style sharing platters are the name of the game featuring the best of sizzling grilled meats and seafood, available on both days.
At Kampachi, celebrate with a Japanese and Eastern twist. On Christmas Eve, enjoy a five-course omakase dinner featuring the best the chef has to offer. Once the 25th comes around, the restaurant will be serving a brunch buffet fit for the whole family to enjoy. There’s also a choice to add on the sake buffet to toast the holiday season with a uniquely Japanese spirit.
At Nipah, global cuisine and international flavours await at the Christmas Eve buffet dinner and Christmas Day buffet lunch, marking your holidays with an exciting array of food.
Bring EQ home for Christmas
If you prefer to host at home instead, you can also leave the hassle of cooking to EQ with their made-to-order menu of Christmas foods. Menu options include roasted turkey, slow-roasted Christmas goose, lobster mayonnaise, smoked Baltic salmon and more.
Complete your home celebration with special festive sweets and treats to adorn the table from EQ’s world-class patissiers. Choose from the classic Christmas fruit cake, mince cake, and yule logs, or more contemporary Christmas flavours like cheesecake or chocolate raspberry. Also available are EQ’s Gingerbread House, an edible Snowflakes Wreath, panettone, stollen, and varieties of chocolate delights for your Christmas celebration. These treats are also perfect as gifts for loved ones and a welcome way to usher in the yuletide joy.
Speaking of festive gifts, EQ also offers several different gift sets and hampers made specially for gifting and sharing the Christmas spirit. The sets will be available for sale in EQ’s lobby at the Christmas gift shop where you can see the sets for yourself before buying, or you can make reservations from now for bespoke and large orders.
Ring in the New Year
And once you’ve rounded up the Christmas celebrations, New Year is waiting just around the corner. As EQ tradition dictates, the annual New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop will take place in the lobby, for a short and sweet countdown celebration for everyone to enjoy together.
Blue, Bottega, and Etoile will be hosting their own countdown parties too. Choose your NYE vibe between the high-energy excitement of Blue’s DJ-powered celebration or a more chill celebration with snacks, drinks, and live band at Bottega. In Etoile, a supper buffet from 11PM to 2AM is available for those who’d rather celebrate with a good meal.
Elsewhere in the hotel, the New Year’s Eve Retro Party will be happening in the Diamond Ballroom, so you can boogie down to throwback tracks before welcoming the new year.
You can also ring in the New Year in a more refined way with an eight-course degustation menu at Sabayon, or a five-course omakase at Kampachi. Whichever way you choose to mark the occasion, there’s bound to be something for you, your family, and your loved ones at EQ.
