The hotel marks a significant milestone for CapsuleTransit, coinciding with its 10th anniversary.
Loke commended the hotel as a prime example of collaboration between the government and private sector to enhance Malaysia’s airport offerings. “CapsuleTransit MAX is a feature we can proudly showcase to our airport guests,” he shared.
Ryan Loo, CapsuleTransit’s founder and CEO, emphasised that MAX delivers more than just a place to rest. The hotel is designed to immerse guests in Malaysia’s rich culture, blending heritage with modernity. Its spaces were crafted by the award-winning design firm Blu Water Studio and infused with local flair by digital artist Abdul Shakir. CapsuleTransit MAX also partners with renowned Malaysian brands such as Acaya and Pestle & Mortar Clothing to further enhance its local charm.
The plant-based airport lounge serves a variety of hot meals, light snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages, while rooms are equipped with plush beds, modern amenities, and privacy to ensure a restful stay. Executive rooms even include long baths – which is a rare luxury in airport hotels.
One of the hotel’s signature features is the “runway suite,” offering uninterrupted views of the runway. Guests can also enjoy exclusive wellness options, including a steam bath and access to the first fully-equipped gym within an airport terminal. For business travellers, the hotel provides meeting rooms, conference spaces, and a Business Club to accommodate professional needs.
Since its inception in 2014, CapsuleTransit has redefined the transit hotel experience in Malaysia. Starting with 79 beds, it has expanded its offerings over the years, now serving over 100,000 travellers annually across its four locations in KLIA Terminal 1 and KLIA Terminal 2.
