Leica has introduced the Leica SL3, a new L-mount, SLR-style mirrorless camera. The SL3 features a 60MP BSI CMOS sensor, making it the highest-resolution SL camera yet. It can output RAWs or JPEGs in your choice of 60MP, 36MP or 18MP resolution, with the option for different resolutions for each file type. The camera sensor also has on-sensor phase detection elements, allowing depth-aware focusing. It can be set to recognise human bodies, faces and eyes, and has animal detection.
