Consumer Electronics Show (CES), also known as The World’s Biggest Tech Show, has wrapped after three innovative days, revealing a series of brilliant new futuristic technologies for various industries. The event took place at The Sphere Las Vegas, from 6th to 9th January 2026. From Samsung to Sony, major companies were fiercely showcasing their latest innovations, while journalists and aspiring entrepreneurs sought inspiration from the world’s most prestigious tech fair. Let’s look at five breakthroughs from CES 2026 that rewrote what technology can be.
Lego Smart Brick

Lego’s Smart Brick was arguably the show’s most talked-about toy innovation. It has also been regarded as the brand’s biggest leap in decades. The 2×4 brick size might seem ordinary, but it hides motion, light, and sound sensors, allowing physical Lego builds to react dynamically to play, interact with special smart tags, and even trigger music or effects. Tactile construction now bridges with digital interactivity, turning Lego sets into responsive experiences that evolve with the imagination of avid builders.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold

We are all now familiar with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. Samsung is now elevating the innovation further with the Galaxy Z TriFold, pushing foldable design beyond the dual hinge. When closed, it’s a pocketable smartphone, but once unfolded, users are treated to an expansive 10-inch screen display. It is the ideal choice for productivity, entertainment, and use for every generation. This tri-fold form challenges traditional smartphone paradigms, blending compact portability with tablet-like immersion.

LG’s revival of the Wallpaper OLED format at CES 2026 blends industrial elegance with imaging prowess. Leveraging the Alpha 9 Gen3 processor, this TV delivers lossless 4K visuals and audio wirelessly from a remote Zero Connect Box. We no longer need to worry about tangled cables and enabling installations. At just nine millimetres thick, the design positions itself as a premium centrepiece for minimalist living spaces.
Boston Dynamics humanoid robot

The next-generation Atlas humanoid robot by Boston Dynamics marked its milestone as a commercial product, designed for real-world industrial use. Atlas is a fully electric humanoid with 56 degrees of freedom, advanced tactile-sensor hands, and a four-hour swappable battery system. To add, the robot partners with Google DeepMind’s Gemini AI for better perception, adaptive control, and autonomy to learn and perform complex tasks. Its walk, balance, and movement (even backflip!) all demonstrate human-like qualities. It is ready to use for factory deployment starting in 2028 at Hyundai’s manufacturing sites, where it’ll take on tasks like parts sequencing and assembly.
iPolish colour-changing smart nails

Girls just want to have fun – and iPolish proved it. The Florida-based digital beauty brand unveiled smart, colour-changing press-on nails that can change over 400 shades in as little as five seconds. This also means you no longer have to spend hours at the nail salon for a simple manicure. By day, have your nails sport a classic nude polish for an office-approved look, and by night, a sleek red shade for date night – all with an app on your smartphone.
