Mumm Marlborough honours the union of New Zealand’s cool-climate wine region with Maison Mumm’s 200-year winemaking experience. The result is the introduction of its first sparkling wine titled, ‘Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige’.
As part of the launch, Mumm Marlborough brought about an occasion to recognise the finest of New Zealand terroir and French craftsmanship. At the event, guests were taken on a journey through unique comparison tastings. Chef Phillip Dominic of Restaurant Dominic designed a cuisine inspired by the spirit of Mumm Marlborough, bringing to life the qualities of flavour, terroir, and history that Maison Mumm is known for.
We also learned how the distinctive sparkling wine was prepared using Méthode Traditionnelle, which adheres to the same protocols as Maison Mumm: a tough process that allows the wines to fully develop a broad range of its rich flavours. “The style of Mumm Marlborough sparkling is elegant with a wealth of aromas and vivacity, due to our ability to source fruit across the Wairau Valley, Southern Valleys and Awatere Valley […] We want to create a sparkling wine that offers lively brightness alongside body and mouthfeel, creating balance in the glass,’’ said Jamie Marfell, Pernod Ricard Winemakers New Zealand Chief Winemaker.
Mumm Marlborough’s Brut Prestige delivers a vibrant brightness combined with elegance and delicacy, with flinty depth and delicious red berry aromas. It is a unique sparkling wine with naturally high acidity, influenced by the chilly, coastal environment of the Marlborough area.
Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige is priced at RM275 and is available countrywide through TMC, Jaya Grocer, AEON, and Mercato shops, as well as on the Official Pernod Ricard Shopee Store.
