Red Army Watches—the timepiece house that has been labelled as an anti-establishment movement while keeping the rich tradition behind each piece is what set them different from other watch manufacturers from the start. The brand provides owners with handpicked designs that are unique yet functional, simple yet capable of precision time-keeping.
To continue their legacy as one of the straight-forward brands, Red Army Watches recently unveils six striking new models centred on adventure, exploration, and invention from the past, present, and future. The event was held at the brand’s flagship store in One Utama.
Behrens, The B011C STARSHIP Series
One of Behrens’ latest designs is inspired by the grandeur of space and the enigmatic depths of the ocean. The dial of the clock is inspired by a space station, and it is driven by a Miyota 9-series automatic movement. The back of the watch has a beautiful engraved metal insignia of a white dolphin combined with elements from space and sea developed by a young creative designer. The B011C Starship is available in white, blue, orange, and red.
Behrens, B017 CONSTELLER
The Consteller is influenced by none other than the stars in the night sky. The dial is made of dark blue aventurine with star and galaxy layouts. Behrens also designed and built a unique mechanical module that displayed the hours, minutes, and seconds in regulator format, as well as a moon phase and revolving constellation sky.
Behrens, B020 APOLAR
The Apolar model focuses on the celestial connection between the Earth and the Moon. A spherical design depiction of the Earth and Moon offers a spectacular three-dimensional visual impact just above the dial. Every 24 hours, the dome-shaped globe (Earth) revolves. On a 28-day cycle, the spherical globe depicting the Moon on the huge metal ring will make a turn around the Earth.
Behrens, B022 ROTARY
The Rotary, as its name implies, is inspired by the famed Rotary engine and meant as an ode to the historic Mazda Lemans race winner 787B from 1990-1991. Behrens developed and built a twin-rotary construction module with triangle rotors to imitate the action of the renowned Rotary engine. The Rotary is available in two dial colours: black and grey.
Gorilla, Fastback GT Nomad
Known as a symbol of boldness, ingenuity and unusual design. Gorilla’s latest Fastback GT Nomad is constructed based on America’s first two-door sports wagon, the Chevrolet Nomad, and captures the spirit of a traveller. It was founded by Octavio Garcia and Lukas Gopp, two industry veterans recognized for their enthusiasm and skill.
As a result, the ceramic bezel of the watch features a walnut brown colour that reflects the most popular form of the vehicle. At the same time, the baby blue dial is inspired by the lovely sea of the Pacific Coast of California.
Horizon, The Pilgrim
Horizon’s most recent, The Pilgrim, was spurred by the classic Jules Verne stories. The tale of Un Capitaine de Quinze Ans which follows the exploits of a whaler named Pilgrim across the Pacific. Those who are familiar with Horizon Watches’ initial collection, will spot familiar numbers, quotation, and writing on its surfaces.
The back of the watch features an illustration by Bekher of the Pilgrim ship with a whale. The Pilgrim watches are available in four different colours: Blue Ocean, Black Ocean, Green Ocean, and Young Captain Edition.
**The new Behrens, Gorilla, and Horizon are now available to purchase at Red Army Watches stores in One Utama and Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur.
