If you find staying in and working from home 24/7 tiresome, why not switch things up and work from a luxury hotel?
In an effort to refresh our WFH or remote work routine, Marriott International has announced a new program to work anywhere with Marriott Bonvoy. The latter has developed three new hotel pass packages that have been designed as flexible options whether guests are seeking a one-day stay or a multi-day work and leisure destination getaway.
“Working remotely doesn’t necessarily have to mean working form home, where blurred lines between personal and professional lives can create distractions and stress,” said Stephanie Linnartz, Group President of Consumer Operations, Technology & Emerging Businesses of Marriott International. “We are inviting guests to work anywhere with Marriott Bonvoy to help them be more productive and achieve a better work/life balance by reimagining our hotel rooms as local remote workspaces for our customers. By providing flexible booking options, our loyalty members and guests have a familiar alternative when choosing where to work.”
So whether you’re looking for a way to break up the day-to-day monotony, reset a boundary between work and personal life, or just need more sufficient Wi-Fi, working from the comfort of your hotel room can be the break you need to revitalise your morale.
Marriott Bonvoy is offering Day Pass, Stay Pass, and Play Pass packages that were created using input from consumers, hotel operations and corporate partners. This is to ensure that everything a guest would need or want in a hotel room gets covered, from a disinfected workspace and plenty of natural light, to zero distractions and access to hotel perks such as the gym and pool.
So how does it work?
The Day Pass is a great option if you just need one day just to get away from home. You can make your hotel room your office or an escapade from 6AM check-in to 6PM check-out.
Hotels offering the Day Pass include: W Kuala Lumpur; Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown; Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral and Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur.
The Stay Pass marries the benefits of a luxury hotel stay with the ability to make the most of a workday, with early check-in at 6AM and 6PM check-out on the day of departure. Guests can also access the hotel’s amenities such as the pool and gym, as well as enjoy free breakfast and complimentary evening cocktails.
Hotels offering the Stay Pass include: W Kuala Lumpur (additional perks include 50% off any items in the W MixBar (in-room minibar) and 30% off the ala carte menu at AWAY Spa); Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel; Le Méridien Putrajaya; Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel; Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown; Four Points by Sheraton Puchong; Aloft Langkawi; Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral (inclusive of one free drink at Mai Bar); Element Kuala Lumpur (additional perks include two glasses of complimentary cocktail or mocktail from 8:00am to 3:00pm at TRACE Restaurant and Bar, Level 40).
Lastly, the Play Pass is great for families who need to work, get away, and spend quality time together in a fresh new environment. Guests will enjoy more flexibility in their work and supervised activities for the little ones.
In Malaysia, The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi’s Play Pass package inclusions consist of working space surrounded by nature at The Library; access to the tennis court and giant chess game; dining credit redeemable at The Beach Grill (MYR150 for adult, MYR75 for children). Curated experiences with the Play Plass include a day out at Private beach overlooking the Andaman Sea with various water activities for family, kids getting to enjoy garden walk and nature discovery where they will learn about plants and animals in the resort, capped off with a feast of innovative cuisine at The Beach Grill.
